Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the RendShot API, website, or any associated services (collectively, the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all of these terms, you may not use the Service. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

2. Description of Service

RendShot provides an HTML-to-image rendering API that converts HTML, CSS, and Tailwind templates into high-quality PNG, JPEG, and WebP images. The Service includes a REST API, command-line interface (CLI), MCP server integration, and a web dashboard for managing API keys and monitoring usage.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account by providing a valid email address and creating a password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, including any API keys issued to you. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. You must be at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in your jurisdiction to use the Service.

4. API Usage & Rate Limits

Your use of the API is subject to rate limits and monthly request quotas determined by your subscription plan. The current plan tiers are:

• Free: 10 requests per minute, 100 requests per month
• Pro: 100 requests per minute, 10,000 requests per month
• Enterprise: 1,000 requests per minute, 1,000,000 requests per month

Exceeding your rate limit will result in HTTP 429 responses. We reserve the right to throttle or suspend accounts that engage in abusive usage patterns.

5. Payment Terms

Paid plans are billed on a monthly subscription basis via Stripe. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. Refunds are not provided for partial months of service. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Generate, store, or distribute illegal, harmful, or offensive content
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, authentication, or security measures
• Use the Service to perform server-side request forgery (SSRF) or access internal network resources
• Resell or redistribute the Service without written authorization
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service infrastructure or other users' access

Violation of this policy may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.

7. Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of any HTML templates you submit and any images generated through the Service. RendShot does not claim any intellectual property rights over your content. The Service itself, including its software, documentation, and branding, remains the exclusive property of RendShot.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. RendShot shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support. Upon termination, your API keys will be revoked and any stored images will be deleted according to our data retention policy.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Delaware. If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
